I help people through the emotional and relationship issues that arise at various stages in life. Relentless and intense feelings of overwhelm, disconnection, low motivation, or sadness can leave you feeling helpless and unsure of where to turn. By this stage, it is common to feel as though it is your fault or something is truly wrong with you. I can help by supporting you to understand where these difficulties are coming from and how to overcome them – free from negative self-judgement and with a new confidence.
If it is your child experiencing these difficulties, I can work with you as a family to repair relationships, build resilience, and guide your child through hardship. I assist parents to understand concerning behaviours in their children and transform their approach to dealing with these behaviours and reconnecting with their child.
I have a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology and experience working with both adults and young people – and the parents and families who support them – in private practice, public mental health, and school settings. I work collaboratively to achieve client goals, using a client-centred, warm, and empathetic approach to therapy.
I draw on evidence-based frameworks to best meet individual and family circumstances, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), attachment theory, family systems, and functional behavioural support.
An approach tailored to you
Irene draws on evidence-based methods to provide compassionate, individualised care for every client – no matter their age or stage of life.
Children & Adolescents
Irene creates a warm, playful, and safe therapeutic space where children and teenagers feel comfortable exploring their feelings. Using age-appropriate methods including play therapy, creative expression, and cognitive-behavioural techniques, she helps young people develop coping skills and build resilience.
Families & Parenting
Working with the whole family system, Irene helps parents and caregivers understand their child's needs, improve family communication, and develop practical strategies. She provides a compassionate, non-judgemental space where every family member feels heard and supported.
Adults
Irene also works with adults experiencing a range of concerns including anxiety, depression, life transitions, and relationship difficulties. She uses evidence-based approaches tailored to each individual's goals and circumstances, supporting positive change at every stage of life.
